Widely travelled and born in South Africa, Chris Boecker, C.T.C. (Certified Travel Counselor) of TravelBoecker takes pride in the fact that she herself has experienced many of the tours she promotes. Having lived in Europe and settled in Vancouver 16 years ago, Boecker has over 30 years travel experience exploring much of the African Continent, Europe, Asia, the Americas and sailing on an icebreaker through the Arctic Sea. In her spare time Boecker enjoys getting involved in the community. She is co-founder & marketing director for German Kids Richmond and course facilitator for the Neufeld Institute.
Boecker co-founded ‘Spread the Smile’ – a project giving children in Africa a chance to play and smile, while at the same time creating jobs and raising awareness of malaria, TB, HIV/Aids and other disease.
TravelBoecker sponsors CNIS, Richmond Ringette and SOS Children’s Village as well as community events such as the annual Steveston Salmon Festival. And Boecker volunteered for the Steveston Farmers & Artisan Market, chaired the South African Business Network Group and was membership director for the German Canadian Business Association.
